Xiaomi Auto Hits 500,000-Unit Milestone

On November 20, Xiaomi Auto celebrated the roll-off of its 500,000th vehicle at the super factory in Beijing Yizhuang. Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group, noted this milestone validates the full-chain capabilities spanning R&D, manufacturing, sales, delivery, and service, indicating broad market recognition and marking Xiaomi Auto’s entry into a scaled development phase. The factory uses self-developed die-casting alloy materials and giant die-casting machines with a clamping force of 9,100 tons. Currently, four such machines are in operation, with the fifth having arrived at the plant and scheduled for installation, debugging, and production by year-end to support future capacity expansion and quality assurance.

XPeng Motors First Pure-Electric New Force to Reach 1 Million Units

On November 21, XPeng Motors held the 1 millionth vehicle roll-off ceremony and delivery event for the first batch of X9 Super Extended Range owners at its modern factory in Knowledge City, Huangpu District, Guangzhou, becoming the first pure-electric new force automaker to achieve 1 million mass-produced units. Market performance saw strong growth in domestic and overseas markets this year, with cumulative deliveries from January to October 2025 reaching 355,209 units (a 190% year-on-year surge), leading industry growth. Overseas deliveries during the same period were 34,712 units (up 106.7% YoY). As a leading auto enterprise in Huangpu District, XPeng continues expanding layout and capacity: Phase I of the South Plant in Knowledge City began mass production in May 2025, with Phase II under accelerated construction. Since June, core component projects like new die-casting and battery assembly have been launched to strengthen supply chain autonomy. XPeng’s early布局 in large integrated die-casting—relying on Hongtu Technology’s 7,000-ton, 12,000-ton, and 16,000-ton ultra-large die-casting islands at its Guangzhou plant and two 7,000-ton islands at its Wuhan plant—showcases strong technical and production capabilities.

Guangdong Hongtu’s Performance Recovers; Integrated Die-Casting Enters Harvest Phase

In the first three quarters of 2025, Guangdong Hongtu achieved operating revenue of 6.653 billion yuan (up 18.71% YoY), maintaining business scale expansion amid intensifying competition. Despite pressure from customer price cuts, declining order margins, and rising raw material costs, net profit attributable to shareholders was 210 million yuan (down 21.38% YoY), but quarterly performance improved notably: Q3 revenue hit 2.383 billion yuan (up 21.05% YoY), net profit reached 95.8431 million yuan (up 2.03% YoY), and gross margin rose quarter-on-quarter, signaling steady recovery in H2 vs. H1. As a veteran in the die-casting industry, Hongtu’s investment in integrated die-casting has entered the harvest stage. The company has deployed 5 sets of ultra-large die-casting machines: its Guangzhou plant is equipped with 16,000t, 12,000t, and two 7,000t units, while its Zhaoqing Jinli plant has a 6,800t unit, enabling production of core components like front cabins, rear floors, and full-size battery trays for new energy vehicles. With host manufacturers scaling up integrated die-casting models, Guangzhou plant’s capacity release has become a key driver of this year’s revenue growth.

Volvo Torslanda Plant Drives Change with Integrated Die-Casting

Volvo’s Torslanda Plant, a 60-year-old global core base in Sweden, is leveraging integrated die-casting technology as a new engine for manufacturing transformation. This benchmark plant, with an annual capacity of 280,000 units (40% of Volvo’s global total output), has introduced an 8,400-ton ultra-large die-casting machine to build a new production system for the pure-electric EX60 model, set for global debut on January 21, 2026.
